Love's Trust

From the February 1951 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I come from night's deep cavern with old dreams
Like strands of cobweb clinging to my thought.
On towards the light I climb, past morning beams.
To that high place where still His Word is taught.
There Love enthroned for all to understand
Bids me kneel and receive Love's one command.

Then, bearer of this holy trust through grace.
I plunge into the rapid flow of day
Abiding in Love's presence, with each face
Beheld as mirrored Love, not sullen clay:
Until I see God's light burst o'er mankind.
Revealing perfect man reflecting Mind.
