My testimony telling of physical healings was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 9, 1928. In the years which have followed, the great Physician as revealed in Christian Science has been my only healer, and I am daily grateful that I am privileged to bring the healing light of Truth to others. A broader conception of the power of divine Love has resulted in the solution of professional and business problems and in a fuller dependence upon spiritual guidance.
After I left my childhood home, my improved thought, because of my recent acceptance of Christian Science, resulted in my being placed in a succession of favorable environments; and although no specific work was done along that line, each move resulted in a better abiding place.
My first definite proof of divine guidance in finding a home came one January when I went to New York to continue some university study. As it was in the middle of the academic year, the dormitories for women were filled, but I was promised that a suitable place would be found for me off the campus. I found myself with a great sense of fear that the reserved room might be very unsatisfactory. I did definite prayerful work as I traveled cast. "I will dwell in the house [the consciousness] of [LOVE] for ever," part of the interpretation of the twenty-third Psalm by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 578 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," came again and again to my mind. When I reached the city, one glance into my new room reassured me, and I learned the next morning that I had been led to a home of Christian Scientists. Association with this family brought spiritual growth which was to me of more value than my university study.
