FOLLOWING THROUGH TO COMPLETION

From the February 1952 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How important it is for one to bring to completion every right endeavor to the glorification of God! The unfinished piece of art, the uncertain business deal, or the incomplete treatment is insufficient evidence of reality and does not bear witness to the fact that God is perfect and whole in His manifestation. In order that God's kingdom be seen on earth, there must be perfect realization of completeness, harmony, and continuity of goodness.

God's law is expressed in completeness. His work is finished. It is orderly, sufficient, whole. Its activity is manifested in demand and supply, prayer and its answer. His work is revealed by the unfolding of His divine nature expressed in man. Hence, man's completeness is evidenced through reflection and application in every phase of human endeavor. As mankind progresses out of the uncertainty and incompleteness of human living and glimpses reality, there cease to be halfway positions, lack of supply, insufficient health, and unfinished demonstrations. There is harmony, continuity of good, joy, happiness, health, and prosperity.

In Christian Science the student learns to follow through to completion every activity which is worthy of his attention. He awakens to the allness and wholeness of Deity and the completeness of Mind's expression. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read (p.513), "Spirit diversifies, classifies, and individualizes all thoughts, which are as eternal as the Mind conceiving them; but the intelligence, existence, and continuity of all individuality remain in God, who is the divinely creative Principle thereof." Mind forever continues and reveals itself. Nothing incomplete or inharmonious has entity in Mind, because the oneness and allness of God are reflected in the individuality and continuity of man.
