Remembering the Rainbow

From the September 1953 issue of The Christian Science Journal

He who trusts God knows no defeat, and dreads
No trial, no trick of mortal mind. He sees
The rainbow long before the storm is stilled;
He knows the clouds will pass. This knowledge frees
Him from all fear, and signals victory.

When storms assail, oh, may we bravely stand,
Remembering the symbol of God's great love,
The rainbow in the sky! We'll find His hand
Outstretched to comfort and to guide
And, humbly following, win a victory.
