My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 16, 1945. Now I should like to share a few more of my experiences along the road from sense to Soul. During nearly four years of service in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, I received several almost instantaneous healings. One of them was that of a burn. I declined the offer to be taken to sick bay and recalled Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (p. 161): "You say, 'I have burned my finger.' This is an exact statement, more exact than you suppose; for mortal mind, and not matter, burns it." The complete healing was soon evident.
At another time I had to overcome the effects of a wasp sting. I am particularly grateful that I was able to approach the problem from a Christianly scientific basis, for I realized quick freedom from discomfort as I rejoiced in the tenth verse of the ninety-first Psalm: "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." By the next morning my arm was entirely normal.
When struck down by a heavy lorry, I declared that in reality man is unfallen and upright, and I started to rise even before the occupants of the lorry assisted me. I went on my way rejoicing and spent the afternoon with relatives, who knew nothing of the wonderful protection I had just experienced. A bruised hip which I had received was quickly healed.
