When properly applied, Christian Science has met all my needs. I have seen blood poisoning and colds healed quickly and dislocated bones returned to their normal position while the suffering one was talking to a practitioner.
I should like to tell of an outstanding healing I experienced. Before taking up the study of Christian Science I had a serious eye difficulty. An eye specialist said that unless an operation were performed to correct this condition, I would become blind in that eye and the sight in the other eye would gradually become weaker. After I had been studying Christian Science for about a year, I heard a Christian Science lecturer say that true vision is the quality of spiritual discernment. I saw that to be healed I had to love more and overcome criticism in order to discern God's man. Also I realized that since all ideas are perpetually controlled by God, the one Mind, nothing can be out of place in God's universe.
While I was a guest in the home of a friend my glasses were broken. The friend expressed great concern, being fearful that I would have headaches. I was positive in my statements to her that I would not because I could rely on God and that reliance on God is always effective. I now realize that with this positive declaration came my healing, as I have not worn glasses since that time and have not needed to, although I read, sew, and even do reweaving on fine cloth. I am indeed grateful for the privilege of having had class instruction from a consecrated teacher. It has given me confidence in the reality and power of Truth.— Montgomery, Alabama.
