Down with my pity! I will see but God.
Loss cannot overtake my friend.
Though eyes see disaster, His directing rod
Governs His kingdom and protects its end.
Let me see order beneath the chaos spread,
Reality in place of counterfeit;
Let me see hunger by heavenly manna fed
With Truth in every blessed crumb of it.
Let me see good, the operating law
That holds the world and all its hosts in place.
Let me see Principle without a flaw;
Let me see Spirit in each radiant face.
Let me know growth and all the joy it gives:
Let me see Life, but never death—Love lives!
