The following healings are some of the benefits my family and I have enjoyed through Christian Science during the past twenty-three years. My husband was healed of a tumor in the stomach by one absent treatment. He knew nothing of Science at the time, but rather than have an operation he was willing to have Christian Science treatment after a woman had explained what she knew about it. After his healing he was so grateful that he commenced attending services at a Church of Christ, Scientist, and purchased Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
About a year later he had another wonderful proof that God heals us when we put our trust in Him. During the First World War his hip had been shot away, and the wounds had never healed properly. At times they would discharge, and he would become very ill. One day this happened, and he asked for the help of a practitioner. This was lovingly given, and the wounds on his hip were completely healed.
Our two children attended Sunday School, and divine Mind was their only medicine. They were protected in accidents several times. When our daughter was five she had measles so severely that she became delirious. Soon after help was requested from a practitioner the child was asleep. The next morning she wanted to get up, but being a very young student at that time and not knowing how quickly Truth heals, I kept her in bed. The second day she was up and around as usual, perfectly well.
