When We Pray for Light

From the November 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We need not plead with God to take away
Our ills. But when we listen and are still,
We hear the Father's voice. And when we pray
For light that we may understand God's will
God hears this prayer. His work is done! Our part
Is but to claim the good He gives and see
All evil as unreal. With joyful heart
We then can prove our true identity.
