One of the many great blessings which students of Christian Science are receiving is the ability to prove that supply is spiritual. Paul said in his epistle to the Philippians (4:19), "My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This statement clearly informs us that God is the infinite supplier to man, His idea, of all that is essential to his well-being. We are told that it is through the Christ that we find the true meaning of riches as spiritual. Jesus proved in many ways his conscious understanding of his oneness, or unity, with infinite supply. He relied upon Spirit to provide him with necessary ideas, which enabled him to supply spiritual ideas to those who turned to him for help. To those who were sick, he showed the true idea of health. To those who had allowed themselves to accept death as a reality, he supplied the knowledge of their present oneness, or unity, with eternal Life. He fed the multitude and proved many times that God is indeed infinitely present, ever loving, and always ready to meet what appears to be the human need. Jesus is our Way-shower.
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, relied upon spiritual understanding, which God revealed to her to supply the Christian Science movement with all that was required for its maintenance, guidance, and support. We know with surety and confidence that divine Love is with us to show us how to help those who turn to us for healing, how to see clearly their oneness with present perfection.
In the world today much thinking and planning take place in order to establish a sufficiency to meet the human needs of the people. Generally speaking, it would appear that great demands are being made upon employers, state laws, businesses. Frequently the employee says: "How much can I get? I require much more in order to be able to live." Selfishness produces discord. Fear brings limitations. Many forms and ways of making money quickly are adopted. None, however, bring the true idea of supply, or a true sense of satisfaction, because they are based on materiality. The only way to find our true sense of supply is to accept the revelation of Truth, then to ask ourselves, "Am I using all the good Christian Science is giving to me in my daily living?"
