SUPPLY ALWAYS MEETS DEMAND

From the November 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Mary Baker Eddy in her book "Miscellaneous Writings" refers to supply and demand as a law of God and says that under this law supply always meets demand (see page 45). This law is universal in scope, and it is as readily applicable to the claims of financial lack and limitation as it is to the healing of moral and physical ills. When it is understood that God is Mind and that man reflects and includes every quality and idea of the divine Mind, it can then be seen and demonstrated that there is no such thing as a lack of supply in all the realm of God.

The question as to how one may apply Christian Science to the problem of finance, work, and employment is one that concerns everyone who is seeking to demonstrate this teaching in his daily life. So intertwined is the application of Christian Science to the economic commitments and obligations of human beings with other problems and the solution of them that it may be said that the subject of supply concerns mankind universally.

Mrs. Eddy tells us in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 5), "Wholly apart from this mortal dream, this illusion and delusion of sense, Christian Science comes to reveal man as God's image, His idea, coexistent with Him—God giving all and man having all that God gives." So beautifully does this absolute truth apply to humanity's experience that proof of it is seen on all sides by men and women in all walks of life. Thus it is made plain to men that it is the divine Mind which is the source of all ideas and that these ideas are not extraneous to man's consciousness.
