We read in Psalms (94:17), "Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence." How grateful I am for all the inspiration and guidance I have received through the study of Christian Science!
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 258), "The human capacities are enlarged and perfected in proportion as humanity gains the true conception of man and God." When I have put God first and desired a greater understanding of Him above all else, the way has opened up for me under almost impossible circumstances. I am a singer, and step by step my music studies were paid for, and my needs were all met as I went forward, trusting God and declaring that what I knew of Him was my substance.
Auditions and my work on the stage have gone ahead with freedom and success on occasions when at first I could not even speak because of a cold or a sore throat. I knew that the voice of God, which has countless manifestations, is spiritual, strong, free, and beautiful. I knew also that man is a witness to all the qualities of Soul. This knowledge always brought healing.
