From the May 1956 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We read in Psalms (77:13), "Who is so great a God as our God?" Because of the spiritual understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him, gained through the teachings of Christian Science, my life has been a continuous unfoldment of never-ending good. And because of my gratitude for this unfoldment, I wish to submit my testimony of healing.

In our family we have experienced many physical and mental healings. Heart trouble, consumption, and blood poisoning have been healed, as well as pneumonia, influenza, and other physical ailments. Moreover, employment and supply have been adequately provided. But I believe the healing for which I am most grateful was one that not only brought release from suffering but a complete change of character and spiritual unfoldment that has continued to bless me.

For a number of years I suffered from a serious throat ailment; the tightening of the throat muscles seemed at times almost unbearable. Finally, one day after I had endured much suffering, the name of a practitioner, one whom I did not even know, flashed into my thought. I immediately telephoned for an appointment, which was graciously given.
