Probably every publishing company welcomes a large volume of contributions. And what publishers look for is excellence of quality in the manuscripts submitted. This is true of the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Even though our contributors are not often professional writers, they have something important to say. There is always room for contributions of fine metaphysical quality.
A good article is obviously the result of scientific demonstration. Such an article is evidence that the author has drawn close to God, has listened for the promptings of divine Mind, and has recorded what he has heard. There is no limit to the variety and newness of ideas which can be heard if the listening is unselfed and reverent. Mary Baker Eddy says in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 520), "Human language can repeat only an infinitesimal part of what exists." One can scarcely imagine the wealth and beauty and strength of what has never been uttered concerning the truths of being.
Freshness of approach in the application of fundamental facts of Science to human problems comes to thought more readily as the Christian Science movement progresses and more individuals yield to the truth of divine Mind's allness and of man's spiritual vitality as the reflection of Mind. Countless inspired meanings of Bible teachings are certain to appear as human thought becomes spiritually enlightened and awakes to grasp those meanings. So much can be said concerning the Scriptures. The student should be ever on the alert to discern the deep import of their messages and to share his findings with the world through the Christian Science periodicals. However, unsound and extreme interpretations of the Bible should be avoided.
