From the January 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In Psalms we read (40:5), "Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered."

Our family's first healing experience in Christian Science came about twenty-five years ago. Our youngest daughter injured her leg and was in so much pain that we took her to the doctor. X rays were taken and showed that the bone had been splintered and that infection was setting in. Bone specialists who were called on the case advised an immediate operation, and their advice was followed.

For over two years the girl was under the care of various specialists. They operated every five or six weeks, but there was no improvement. The injured leg became much smaller than her other one.
