It is with a humble and grateful heart that I submit this testimony of the good that Christian Science has brought into my life.
For many years I had been dissatisfied with the religious teachings in which I had been brought up. Although I had heard of Christian Science, I knew nothing about it. Then one day about eight years ago, while sitting in a bus depot, I noticed a Christian Science literature distribution box. From it I took a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel and began to read it. I had read but a very short time when I knew that here was the truth for which I had long been searching. I secured a copy of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, and it revealed to me what can only be described as "a new heaven and a new earth" (Rev. 21:1).
Not long after beginning the study of Christian Science, I had a very severe attack of sinus trouble. At times the pain was quite intense. Although I had been bothered previously by the trouble, this was the worst attack I had ever had. Since I was new in the study of Science and did not know much about treating myself, the temptation was great to resort to material remedies, especially to ease the sense of pain. But I was thoroughly convinced that Christian Science is a divine revelation and therefore true; so I decided to take my stand and depend entirely upon it for my healing. I had read that others had been healed of a wide range of physical problems, and I was convinced that I could be healed too.
