"Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift" (II Cor. 9:15). It is with the deepest gratitude that I submit this testimony of the healing and protecting power of Christian Science.
An automobile in which I was riding skidded on a wet road. When I saw that the car was out of control, I closed my eyes and realized God's protecting power and presence. My consciousness was completely filled with the omnipotence of God. When I opened my eyes, the car had turned over, and I did not even know that it had happened. Although the car was badly smashed and there was broken glass all around, I was unharmed, unshaken, and untouched by any sense of accident. The one driving the car received only a minor injury of the back, which was all right again in two days.
On one occasion three members of our family were healed overnight and at the same time of ivy poisoning on feet, legs, and hands. The truth held to in this incident was that God made every plant of the field and made it good. Therefore no plant could be evil or harm God's ideas.
