Often in my daily rounds I mentally...

From the March 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Often in my daily rounds I mentally declare, "I am so grateful." Therefore I decided to analyze my thinking and find out what prompted this declaration. The first thought that came to mind was Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Through Christian Science, Love is meeting my every human need.

On three particular occasions through the operation of this Science I was able to secure badly needed positions. On one of these occasions a practitioner pointed out this thought that has always been helpful: If one looks at the stars on a summer's night, he notices that each star in the heavens has its own place. No matter how many stars there are, not one is crowding another or taking another's place, but each is occupying only its own rightful place. That Principle of harmonious order also operates in the affairs of man. Each spiritual idea is forever in its right place in Mind, and no idea displaces another.

Through the application of the truths of Christian Science, I have had many healings. An outstanding one was that of jaundice. For several days I had been delirious at times and so weak I could not get out of bed without fainting. Even then, however, I was able to ponder "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of Science and Health, as well as other statements of Truth.
