Reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals has meant so very much to me that I should like to add my contribution so that I might aid in encouraging others along the way of perfect peace and happiness.
Having been raised in a home where Christian Science was studied and practiced, I had no knowledge of what it was to be without its loving, protecting care. In my late teens I married and moved away from the home of my parents. Then I drifted into worldliness, feeling no need for religion and believing that other things had more to offer.
When life at last appeared barren and useless, I turned once more to reading the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and to attending the Christian Science church services. Through the daily reading of the lesson I was healed of cigarette smoking, which had had a great hold on me. I was so grateful to be free from this false sense of pleasure.
