Christian Science came to me four years ago, and I am grateful that the little knowledge I have gained of it has broadened my whole outlook on life and brought about many happy changes.
After reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I actually looked forward happily to the birth of our second child; whereas before I had been in great fear of experiencing childbirth again because of the first birth, which was accompanied by much suffering prior to my taking up the study of Christian Science.
Several months before our second baby was born, I rather unwillingly visited a doctor to arrange for him to deliver the child. Upon examination, he said it would probably be a breech delivery and that he would have to keep an eye on me until the birth. However, a Christian Science practitioner quieted my fears and declared that there is nothing upside down in Mind and recommended that I read certain passages from the writings of Mrs. Eddy.
