Christian Science was introduced to our family when my mother was healed of a serious nervous breakdown. My life has been filled to overflowing with blessings due to the application of this Science. While still a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School, I received my first practical understanding of Christ, Truth, and a healing followed.
A vertebra slipped out of place when I fell while ice skating. I could hardly walk and had a limited use of my hands. I read from the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, every waking moment.
At the bottom of page 192 is this sentence: "Whatever holds human thought in line with unselfed love, receives directly the divine power." I realized then how completely mental the situation was, and I stopped worrying about getting a bone in place. I thought only of gaining a better understanding of God and of keeping my thought in line with divine Love. The complete healing came within a month as a better understanding of God and man unfolded in my thought.
