I am deeply grateful to have always had the blessings of Christian Science, which has been my only physician. When I was about ten years, old, I had a manifestation of a goiter. I was not aware of this until it was called to my attention by an acquaintance of my family, who told my father in my presence that something should be done about it.
For several years, to please my father, I had treatment from Christian Science practitioners at different times for this condition, which remained the same. Especially during my childhood I was very sensitive about the goiter, as frequently I was asked if anything was being done about it.
After I was grown and working in a business office, it occurred to me that I should make an effort on my own part to be healed of this manifestation. I felt that people might judge the healing efficacy of Christian Science by my application of it. For the first time, of my own free will I asked help of a practitioner for this condition.
