Each of the synonyms for God given on page 465 of Science and Health is of vital importance to Christian Scientists. However, there are times in daily experiences when one of these synonyms seems to mean more in meeting a need than the others. An understanding of infinite Mind was particularly helpful in the following incident.
When I was studying for my degrees in education, as well as holding my regular teaching position, I felt fearful when it came time for me to write the required long term papers and to take the necessary examinations. One assignment given by the psychology professor greatly worried me.
One Wednesday evening as I was driving to a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I said aloud, "Please, God, show me what to do to get this assignment correctly started."
