"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Rev. 3:20). It is comforting to know that the Christ, the divine manifestation of God, is always knocking at the door of every consciousness; it is up to each one to open the door.
A kind neighbor who knew that our family was in great need of the healing truth of Christian Science directed us to the home of a practitioner. My mother, who had been under a doctor's care for many years, was given up by this same doctor, who said she had but a month or two to live.
The love and understanding that the practitioner showed us are memorable. My mother was quickly healed of stomach trouble, floating kidney, leakage of the heart, and several other ailments and enjoyed an active, useful life for twenty-five years thereafter. I am humbly grateful that I had the privilege of being taught in the Christian Science Sunday School.
