MAN, God's image and likeness, is a perfect and complete idea. Each individual spiritual idea—each one of us who, to sense, appears to be a mortal—is actually immortal and complete. God could not create an idea that included less than wholeness and perfection. Completeness being the nature of God, it of necessity characterizes His reflection. A recognition of man's innate wholeness is the key to the demonstration of completeness in human experience.
There are no wants or inordinate desires attached to that which God creates. What could a complete idea need or want? Man already has of God all that is requisite to the fulfillment of his individual and eternal purpose. Complete harmony is his; perfect health is his. Wisdom, love, happiness, purity, understanding, and strength are his. There cannot be more than all, and spiritual allness is the truth which when understood and applied leads on to demonstration of perfection in our daily lives.
Only in belief are there unsatisfied wants and desires. Only in belief is there a covetous nature, one that looks afar and says, "That is what I want," or, "That is what I need." Human experience includes in itself a belief of limitation. It asserts, "I need more time or more friends; I need more money or more room; I need more strength or more health."
