"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Ps. 107:20). I have proved this statement many times in my own experience.
In the winter of 1914, I was healed of a form of paralysis which had completely disabled me. A medical doctor told my family I probably would never walk again, and if I were able to do so, I would be a cripple. Through the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was completely healed. Since then I have lived a very active life. This experience made me realize that I must gain a better understanding of the truth that had healed me.
For several years the way seemed rugged because of discordant human relationships, but a few hours of quiet study in a Christian Science Reading Room always brought me the needed guidance.
