Twenty-Six years ago we had our first healing through Christian Science treatment. Our young daughter had been suffering from asthma for several years and was having frequent attacks. One morning the family physician called to say that there were two visiting medical specialists in the city, and with my permission they would diagnose our child's case. I gave consent for them to come, and after half an hour of consultation our physician called me in and said, "We regret to inform you that this case is the result of heredity, and no power on earth can heal it."
I knew in my heart that God did not send this sickness; and when the above words were spoken, I thought: But there is a higher power, and you love God. Now trust in Him.
Quickly I thought of a neighbor who was a Christian Scientist. Although I did not understand this Science, I felt that its healing power was effective. I could scarcely wait for the doctors to leave so that I could call my neighbor. Immediately she came, and the result was that by noon a Christian Science practitioner was in our home.
