I have many memories of uplifting experiences which have proved the efficacy of Christian Science healing.
A girlhood friend and neighbor, who later became a Christian Science practitioner, gave me a copy of Science and Health, and I accepted Christian Science. My little three-year-old daughter had been crippled from April until a day in August when I left her with my friend while I went shopping. At the time the child could not walk or straighten her head. When I returned that afternoon, a happy little girl ran out to greet me and pushed her own buggy home.
Each one of our four children had healing experiences. When a small child, one of the boys ate powdered lime, mistaking it for sugar. My friend, who was visiting me at the time, took the child in her arms and went to a quiet room. At suppertime she brought back a smiling little boy. Although his mouth and throat were burned, he was not in discomfort, and he ate his supper. He was soon completely free.
