STEADFASTNESS IN TRUTH

From the May 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Truth is out of the range of any earthly limitations and powers, for Truth, as understood in Christian Science, is God, the All-in-all. It is to this allness that men must turn if they would be free from the age-old beliefs of sin and disease. Nothing short of complete reliance on the infinite All-power will bring peace to mind and body and transform thought from self-imposed darkness to the eternal light of Truth.

To a Christian Scientist, an absolute faith in the inspired teachings of his religion is a prerequisite to his unwavering loyalty to Truth. For him the life and works of Christ Jesus, as spiritually interpreted in the writings of Mrs. Eddy, reveal the safe and sure road to the true understanding of existence.

No sincere seeker for Truth can become lost on this road. Although narrow, it is well marked and requires no guesswork by the traveler. To try some other road when confronted with weariness and despair or when tempted by some false pleasure or pain or to sally forth on some promising material short cut to harmony is to invite disillusionment and ultimate failure.
