DIVINE GUIDANCE IN DAILY AFFAIRS

From the May 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Today in increasing numbers men are seeking spiritual guidance in order that the daily problems and swift changes confronting them may be met. The question often arises, "How can I obtain divine guidance?" Christian Science supplies the answer simply and directly and as surely as in the cases of Moses and others whose spiritual enlightenment is recorded in the Bible.

There is no mystery to divine guidance. All that is needed to gain it is a spiritual and demonstrable understanding of God, the source of all reality, and of the inseparable relationship of God and man. To become acquainted with accounting, one studies arithmetic, bookkeeping, and allied subjects. For legal work, a practical understanding of law is required. It follows naturally that if one wishes to learn how to gain divine guidance, it is necessary to acquaint oneself with spiritual laws and their proper application.

Mrs. Eddy provides instruction in how to gain a demonstrable understanding of Christian Science in the following words on page 275 of the textbook: "The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind,—that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle."
