IN Christian Science we understand that infinity cannot help being demonstrated, because demonstration is included in infinity itself. The Christian Scientist demonstrates infinity as the law of God, forever operating to unfold divine ideas, which, in turn, meet the human need. The Scientist acknowledges that God is infinite and supreme and that He is One. An infinite supreme God, therefore, is the only power, and this scientific fact is available to all who accept Christian Science. This fact means that there is but one God to worship, one God to love and obey, and the way to love and obey unfolds to the individual infinitely because God is infinite and not finite. Since God is infinite, there is ever an increased sense of love and obedience to be demonstrated by the Christian Scientist. The possibilities of unfoldment and accomplishment belong to everyone because ideas are infinite, and as these ideas are lived and expressed they unfold and accomplish distinct and individual progress.
Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health, "God expresses in man the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis" (p. 258). Here we see that man's unfoldment and progress are boundless. We demonstrate this fact through spiritual-mindedness, through consistently being more Godlike in our living.
Consecrated study of the Bible and of all Mrs. Eddy's writings enables the individual to prove to some extent that God is infinite Love, infinite Mind, infinite Life. To demonstrate an increased understanding of infinite Love means that the Scientist refuses to accept as real such finite arguments as hate, envy, or jealousy.
