About sixteen years ago, shortly after I had become interested in it, Christian Science helped me to solve a difficult business problem. I had been given a position as manager of a company in which there was a lack of discipline among the personnel, and it was my duty to correct the situation. Being a reformer, I was very much disliked.
This company handled thousands of retail sales daily; but in a matter of days, I had caught most of the cashiers in acts of dishonesty. I could not discharge any of these employees because experienced help to replace them was not available, nor was there time in the course of the day's activities to train replacements.
Sizing up the situation humanly was frustrating and discouraging. But knowing that I could look to Christian Science for the right answer to any problem, I turned to God, studying the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings and earnestly seeking out true, spiritual definitions of man and of God, divine Principle.
