"Be still, and know"

From the December 1962 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Be still, O restless heart, be still;
O yield all sense of hurt and woe.
Lay down your burden of self-will;
"Be still, and know."

Surrender pride with all its fear,
Our own false sense of self, the foe;
Give up your sad, self-pitying tear.
"Be still, and know."

God, great I AM, Infinity,
To selfless thought His power will show
In quiet of humility.
"Be still, and know."

Know that in Him we live and move;
This Life doth ever restful flow.
Know that the only Life is Love.
"Be still, and know."
