While temporal lights burn bright at yuletide, the Christ-message is always ready with incomparable illumination to brighten the hearts and homes of humanity. With peace, power, and activity the Christ, God's spiritual ideal, is present to inspire the thinking of all mankind and to illumine their lives with heavenly joys.
The Wisemen were divinely impelled to follow the star of Bethlehem to the place where the babe lay in fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy (9:6), "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
The Wisemen were divinely moved to worship the child and give their treasures of gold and frankincense and myrrh. They were warned not to return to Herod and were directed to return to their homeland.
