GOOD IS UNIVERSAL AND SUPREME

From the December 1962 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The world is in a general upheaval today politically, socially, educationally, and economically. Frustration, unrest, insecurity, the misunderstandings between men and nations, are all augmented by fear. Why is this? According to Christian Science, the answer is that materialism is striving to perpetuate itself by creating belief in the reality and power of evil, by over-throwing good. But Science asserts that universal good is present and supreme and will ultimately win the victory.

The basic teaching of Christian Science is the allness of God, good, and the consequent nothingness of evil. Accepting this basic teaching as our premise, deviating not at all from the fundamental facts, we arrive at the divinely logical conclusion that the universe, man, and divine law are wholly good.

Nearly two thousand years ago the healing power of the Christ, Truth, was brought to earth by the lowly Nazarene, Christ Jesus. He came to show mankind then and now that obedience to God's loving law of good brings complete salvation from sickness, distress, sorrow, fear, and others false beliefs of evil.
