AN EVER-PRESENT SENSE OF HOME

From the May 1963 issue of The Christian Science Journal

THE thought of a happy home, the love, security, and protection for which it stands, appeals to men, women, and children the world over.

As we gain through our study of Christian Science a more spiritual sense of home, we become assured that God in His infinite wisdom and impartial, tender care for all His ideas provides a home for everyone. This true sense of home is beautiful and complete; it is safe from inharmony, destruction, interruption. One cannot be separated from it, nor can it be taken from him. It is ever present. This real home is not a material abode or dwelling place. It is a divine state of consciousness in which God governs supremely. It is the realm of Mind, the universe of Spirit, the kingdom of heaven, and is man's eternal residence from which he can never depart.

The Scriptures declare that man is the image and likeness of God. Anyone who will accept and affirm the allness of God and the oneness of Principle and its idea may prove in his own experience that he can never be separated from the peace, harmony, and joy of home, even temporarily, irrespective of where he may go or what his material residence may be. In reality there never has been and never will be any separation between God and His child, His perfect image and likeness. Thus, in Science, Soul is man's God-established, ever-present home.
