Make channels for the streams of Love,
Where they may broadly run;
And Love has overflowing streams,
To fill them every one.
This verse from the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 182) sets forth the divine law of supply and demand as understood in Christian Science. Through the practical application of this spiritual law in human affairs, mankind can demonstrate the unfailing provision that God, infinite Love, makes for every human need.
What demands are made on each of us daily for the active expression of steadfastness, humility, love, joy, intelligence, and purity! These and many other spiritual qualities are the resources of one who understands that man is the spiritual image and likeness of God, the one unlimited source or Principle of good. These resources are not depleted through use, nor can they be cut off by time, circumstance, or the actions of others.
