It would be impossible to enumerate here all the blessings unfolded to our family since the time a friend placed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy in my hands and I found this profound statement on page vii of the Preface: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Those blessings have been appearing abundantly each succeeding day.
Although I had always been a student of the Bible and an active worker in an orthodox church, the textbook opened a new world to me. Our family has experienced healings of sorrow, fear, a recurrent ear infection, a hernia, sinus trouble, burns, discordant conditions attributed to heredity, and the results of accidents.
In exceptional summer heat I was visiting a large city, and I spent many hours walking the hot pavements while shopping and enjoying the sight-seeing. I became conscious of pain in my feet, and the discomfort increased. When I reached my hotel room I found that my feet were burned and painful to touch.
