THE first verse of Hymn No. 171 in the Christian Science Hymnal begins,
Let us sing of Easter gladness
That rejoices every day.
Christendom as a whole joyously welcomes the glad Easter season. Great numbers have experienced or witnessed the uplifting impetus of the Scriptural account of Christ Jesus' resurrection. They have marveled at his magnificent triumph over death and the grave. His victory has brought fresh buoyancy to hope and faith. Wherever the eager ear has listened, where the meek heart has gratefully responded to the Easter message, the mourner has dried his tears; the one bowed with grief has risen with renewed courage, with resolute endeavor and expectant hope.
