The practice of Christian Science brings the greatest joy, the deepest satisfaction obtainable. My own experience is proof of this statement.
As a young woman, I had yearned for a career as a concert pianist. It seemed that the only qualification I lacked was hands of sufficient breadth and strength. I had tried material ways of meeting this lack but in vain. Then through the study of Christian Science this limitation was removed, and the door was opened for the fulfillment of my dream. Arrangements were made for final studies in both Paris and the United States. But at this point a startling thought presented itself. If Christian Science could open the door to achievement in this one field of action, it could open the way to far greater things, for it held the key to the finding of the kingdom of God, the realm of reality in Spirit. All plans for a musical career were canceled, and I began my study of Christian Science with the object of making the practice of it my way of life. I was totally committed.
The ensuing years have brought full compensation for what appeared to be a sacrifice. Developing the qualities necessary for the practice of Christian Science required humility and brought a sense of true achievement, true substance, and true happiness. All who find healing in Christian Science are at the same time regenerated, born anew, awakened, in a measure, from the dream of life in matter to the reality of existence as it is in Mind, God.
