This testimony is to give sincere and earnest thanks for a perfect healing of defective eyesight and for laying off glasses, which I used for some twenty years. On two occasions I asked for help on this problem from faithful, consecrated Christian Science practitioners. I received immediate help on other problems, but no noticeable change took place concerning my eyes.
No specific statements were studied daily by me, but I found the following most helpful (Ps. 94:9): "He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?" and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 486): "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost. Their reality and immortality are in Spirit and understanding, not in matter,—hence their permanence."
I attribute this healing to my persevering patience in the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly, putting first things first, the daily study of the Bible and all the writing's of Mrs. Eddy. I consider another contributing factor to the healing to be that I not only subscribe for, read, and share all of the Christian Science periodicals but have endeavored to utilize the truths that are set forth in them by students of Christian Science who have proved them by actual demonstration.
