Victorious Church Building

From the December 1969 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Church building is an exciting step that represents progress not only for the community and for the sponsoring group but also for each individual in that group. This step may be taken repeatedly by a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. It may include not only the initial building of a church edifice but such developments as the building of a Reading Room, a Sunday School wing, committee rooms, or the remodeling of any of these.

The material evidences of church building are apparent to the community. What is more important is the growth in spiritual consciousness demonstrated by the church members. This may not be visible at first to the human eye, but it should be evidenced before long in more healing work by the members and in the attraction of more strangers to Christian Science services and lectures.

How does a branch church group set out on an undertaking of this sort? The scope of some projects may seem so overwhelming that one wonders where to begin.
