The great good that Christian Science is doing in the world today makes us all who understand it appreciate Mrs. Eddy's love for mankind and her life of self-sacrifice. The world is being stirred to the depths by her discovery. One of the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal says (No. 123),
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine.
To me this signifies that those who cling steadfastly to spiritual truth will not be hurt by the upheaval.
