A Prolific Source of Spiritual Power

From the June 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Christian Science Quarterly is a prolific source of spiritual power.

Christian Science and its teachings are exemplified in a weekly Lesson-Sermon, which is studied and used by its students. Through this study and daily application of the truths learned we have a religion that works. In an address given in 1895 Mrs. Eddy states: "The systematized centres of Christian Science are life-giving fountains of truth. Our churches, The Christian Science Journal, and the Christian Science Quarterly, are prolific sources of spiritual power whose intellectual, moral, and spiritual animus is felt throughout the land." Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 113.

What is it about the Bible Lessons that has had such a universal appeal for a long period of time? The resources of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, exceed all human demands and have a scope broad enough to meet the needs of each individual at each stage of experience. These resources, when applied, bring healing and growth.
