Getting Out and Staying Out of Trouble

From the June 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Are any of us in trouble? If so, there is a right and positive way out. This way is open now, and Christian Science is showing it to us. The study of this Science turns our thought to the one God, the all-knowing, all-loving, divine Mind. We learn that God holds His creation in absolute, eternal harmony, free from error of any kind; also that in proportion as we accept this truth, apply and demonstrate it, we keep ourselves free from trouble.

Troubles will be less able to gain entrance as we come to see that they do not come from God and are not in accordance with His law of good. They are lawless, having no Principle or power back of them. Consequently they have no power to make themselves manifest. In reality, troubles are nonexistent.

As we stand firmly in the truth that no trouble is real, present, or pressing, because God is all-power and all-presence, we become more assured that no so-called trouble can interfere with our well-being or hinder our progress. Through experience we learn that trouble often forces us to higher ground. It often impels us to a more grateful appreciation of good, a clearer recognition of where we have erred, and a more willing and humble correction of our thoughts and actions.
