Christian Science was introduced into my home during my early twenties, and very soon I witnessed and experienced healing through the study of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
My mother was healed of gallstones after a doctor told her that an immediate operation was essential. Mother chose to have treatment from a Christian Science practitioner and was completely restored to health without medical aid.
I began to attend services at a Church of Christ, Scientist, but because I indulged in what I considered was justifiable criticism of people I met there, I became unhappy and could not stay. However, in later years, when I had lost all that I held most dear and was sick in mind and body, the friend who introduced Science to us lovingly but firmly helped me see that it was the only solution to my many difficulties. So I returned to the branch church I had attended years before. Although I still had to learn how to overcome the error of judging my fellowmen, within two years I became a member of that church and of The Mother Church.
