Testimonies of Healing

It appears humanly impossible to adequately...

From the October 1971 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It appears humanly impossible to adequately express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through a lifetime of Christian Science. I thank God, and our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for bringing the understanding of God that heals and that was demonstrated by Christ Jesus.

In this testimony I will tell of healing and growth in recent years, although Christian Science preserved my life almost sixty years ago when one of Mrs. Eddy's own students came to our home.

During World War II, I became a Regular Army officer. It is customary for the Medical Department to give each officer an annual physical examination. X rays taken at the 1958 examination showed a lung condition, and the Army surgeon wanted to send me back to the United States for further tests in a large general hospital.
