My very first healing in Christian Science was an instantaneous one of crossed eyes when I was a young teen-ager.
Some years later, in spite of the specialist's predictions on account of my being too small, harmonious childbirth, without labor, took place without any assistance other than that of a Christian Science midwife. The practitioner, nurse, and I saw that the spiritual concept of man as idea emanates from God, and is never born into matter.
I would like to express sincere appreciation for Christian Science nursing homes. As a young married woman I was taken into a Christian Science nursing home in London, England, in great distress, having been unable to retain any food, or even water. I was in great pain, had a high fever, and my body and limbs were so stiff I could scarcely move. Everything had to be done for me. Moreover, at home I had a husband and a three-month-old baby to care for.
