Monitor News Service grows

From the December 1973 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Mrs. Eddy was so insistent about keeping the words 'Christian Science' in the masthead of the Monitor, and now it's published over 20 million times a day. That shows the vision of our Leader."

In this way, Zadie Hatfield, Manager of The Christian Science Publishing Society and former Manager of The Christian Science Monitor, begins her comments on the value of syndicating the Monitor.

The syndication service goes by the name The Christian Science Monitor News Service. As Miss Hatfield points out, this credit accompanies every story reprinted by newspapers that subscribe to the service. Newspapers now number some 180—with a total circulation of about 23 million.
