For many months I had prayed daily that God would reveal Himself to me. I felt my understanding of God was very limited, although I had attended Sunday School and later became a member of an orthodox church. In the words of Job (23:3), "Oh that I knew where I might find him!"
One day a woman, a Christian Scientist whom I had met, was visiting a neighbor nearby and came to call on me. Our conversation led to Christian Science. She talked feelingly of God's power and presence and of His tender love for all His children. She also spoke much about prayer. What she said greatly impressed me. As I listened, I was fully convinced that this was the answer to my own pleading prayer. My acceptance of Christian Science that day was with my whole heart. I had found God!
Very soon I purchased the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and with this book, together with the Bible, I began the study of the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. Life took on a new meaning for me. To know that God is Love, all-powerful and ever present, was indeed a wonderful revelation to me. Jeremiah reminds us (29:13), "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
